Day 1 Fes – Merzouga

Leave Fes early and cross the Middle Atlas via Ifrane, cedar country, Midelt and the Ziz Valley before reaching Merzouga. In the late afternoon, ride camels into Erg Chebbi for sunset and spend the night in a Sahara bivouac.

After sunrise and breakfast, leave Merzouga through Rissani and the oasis landscapes toward Todra Gorge. Enjoy a short canyon walk before continuing to the Dades Valley for the night.
